Germain Carrière, Chairman

Germain Carrière holds a law degree from Université de Sherbrooke and a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario. Mr. Carrière has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1975, and is also a member of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada. He is a member of several boards of directors. Mr. Carrière joined the Corporate Finance department of Lévesque Beaubien Geoffrion in 1979 and held positions of Senior Vice President and President, Customer Services. After holding the position of Vice Chairman, Corporative Strategy, at National Bank Financial Inc. over the recent years, he has held, up until July 2009, the position of President and Chief Operating Officer at Desjardins Securities.

Simon Robitaille, Secretary

An engineer by profession, Mr. Simon Robitaille holds positions of Chief Scientific Officer, Vice President, Operations & Research and Secretary-Treasurer for TSO3. He is also the Co-Founder of the Company. Mr. Robitaille heads a scientific team comprised of engineers, microbiologists, chemists and technicians. He is responsible for production and sales service. In addition to a Masters Degree in Science from Laval University, he holds a Masters Degree in Environmental engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal. He has been involved with ozone and its applications since 1977. More particularly, since 1983, he has acquired considerable knowledge and experience in the design and integration of ozone generating systems for water treatment plants.  He was the construction projects manager at Tecksol from 1981 to 1998.

Jean-François Bureau, Director

Mr. Jean-François Bureau, currently Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for DiagnoCure a life sciences company, holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from University Laval, and a Master in Finance from Laval and York Universities. He has nearly twenty years of experience in the North American and European financial markets.

From 2004 to 2008, he was Vice President Credit - Specialized Products at National Bank of Canada, where he was responsible for credit adjudication and led the implementation of credit strategies. Prior to that, he held executive finance positions at a number of companies, in part in the telecommunication sector, notably as Vice-President at Groupe Vidéotron ltée.

Pierre Désy, Director

An MBA graduate from the University of Sherbrooke, Pierre Désy also has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Economic Sciences from the University of Montreal. He has acquired a great deal of experience in business management, both as owner-officer of a small business, including with La Compagnie Panelfold du Canada, and as President and CEO of various companies, including Rougier Inc., a group of five companies operating in various biotechnology sectors and the pharmaceutical industry.

He has developed and taught business recovery at the Laval University MBA program and has participated in several televised conferences on entrepreneurship.  He was President and CEO of DiagnoCure Inc., which he headed from 2000 to 2006 and where he acquired experience in public financial markets and the international marketing of cancer tests.

During his career, he has been a member of several Boards of Directors. He is a member of the Association des MBA du Québec, of which he was President from 1977-1978. He is currently a negotiation and business strategy consultant.

André De Villers, Director

Dr. André de Villers obtained his degree in medicine from Université de Montréal in 1973. Dr. de Villers has been closely involved in the emergence of the biotechnology sector in Quebec. From 1988 to 1993, he created and successfully managed several R&D venture capital companies, generating an investment totalling $250 million. In 1993, Dr. de Villers founded Theratechnologies and held successively the positions of President and Director of R&D, President and General Manager, and President and CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board until June 2004. During that period, Dr. de Villers has played a key role in the creation of Andromed, Ecopia BioSciences and Celmed BioSciences. Since January 2003, Dr. de Villers has been President & CEO of Celmed BioSciences, a private Canadian biopharmaceutical company. Celmed is a leader in the fields of oncology. Created in June 2001, Celmed develops therapies based on a photodynamic process for the treatment of haematological and immune diseases. From November 1999 to 2003, Dr. de Villers was also Chairman of the Biopharmaceutical Companies Committee of Canada's Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (Rx&D) and a member of its Board of Directors and carried out his mandate with success. He is presently a member of the Montreal International Life Sciences Committee and a member of the Board of H3 Pharma.

Dr. James R. Husman, Director

Dr. James R. Husman recently retired from 3M Company in St. Paul, Minnesota with over 30 years experience in Technical and Executive Director Positions. His experience at 3M ranged from managing basic research and product development in Chemicals, Adhesives, Optical Products, Nonwoven Materials, Biomaterials, Medical Products, and Government Research and Development Contracts.

Dr. Husman was the Manager of 3M’s European Specialty Materials Laboratory in Antwerp, Belgium, Technical Director of 3M’s Medical Division, and  Executive Director of Technical Operations for Sumitomo 3M in Tokyo, Japan with responsibility for research and development in 3M Korea.

Dr. Husman holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of New Hampshire with Post Doctoral Research in Biochemistry at the University of Oregon.

Jacques Marcotte, Director

Dr. Jacques Marcotte graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy in 1968 and has been licensed by the Ordre des Pharmaciens du Québec since 1969.  He subsequently obtained his Masters in Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine of the Université de Montréal in 1971 and a Doctorate  (Ph.D.) in Pharmacology in 1974.  The École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal  granted him a diploma in Management Science in 1973.   Dr. Marcotte earned a law degree from Université Laval in 1986.  He has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1988.  Dr. Marcotte began his career in the pharmaceutical industry in charge of clinical tests, scientific issues and regulatory affairs, working mainly with Hoffman LaRoche, Laboratoires Pentagone and, more recently, on an international level with Ciba Geigy (Switzerland and United States).  In 1983, he founded Galenica Inc., a firm specializing in the manufacture of medical instruments which he successfully established in close to 60 countries.  This firm was sold to American interests in 1998.  He is a practising lawyer and an expert in toxicology.

W. Barry Mcdonald, Director

Mr. W. Barry McDonald consulted with TSO3 management and the Board in 2007 and, at the request of the Board, acted as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer from May to October 2008. Mr. McDonald is currently Managing Partner and founder of McDonald & Associates, a strategic and transactional global healthcare advisory firm. He manages client assignments globally in the medical diagnostics, biotechnology, medical device and life science sectors.

Previously, he was an Executive Director and Principal with The Sage Group, a global healthcare consultancy, where he was involved in over 150 strategic planning and transaction assignments on behalf of both publicly- and privately-held companies. Prior to consulting to the industry, Mr. McDonald was President/CEO of Mast/Hitachi, with additional responsibility for heading an executive staff within Hitachi Chemical corporate for assessment of new technology, acquisitions and internal technology development within its life sciences group. He has over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare industry in executive roles in corporate development, sales, marketing, international distribution, strategic planning and M&A. Mr. McDonald serves on the Board of Directors of Healthcare Providers Direct, a publicly-traded U.S. healthcare company, Immunomic Therapeutics, a venture-funded U.S. vaccine biotechnology company. He is also an Advisory Board Member of Microm Microtech, a private healthcare company in France, and Momentum BioSciences, a privately-funded start-up in molecular technology in England.

Mr. McDonald holds a M.S. in Microbiology/Genetics and a B.S. in Biochemistry from The University of Southern Mississippi, and participated in the inaugural MD/PhD combined academic program at the University of Kentucky Albert Chandler Medical School.

R.M. (Ric) Rumble, Director

R.M. (Ric) Rumble, President and Chief Executive Officer of TSO3 Inc., joined the Company in October 2008. Prior to this appointment, he had accumulated more than 25 years experience within the North American and global medical device industry. His impressive track record in the health care sterilization market, and within the medical device industry, includes delivering significant and sustained revenue and earnings growth, leading successful new commercial strategies, and negotiating and integrating large-scale acquisitions. Mr. Rumble holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and an Honours Bachelor of Science in microbiology and immunology from the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario. Prior positions held by Mr. Rumble include: President of BERCHTOLD Corporation; Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Strategic Diagnostics Inc.; Vice President and General Manager of STERIS Corporation; and President and Chief Executive Officer of MediVators Inc. In addition, Mr. Rumble held a number of domestic and international management positions at 3M Company, including Global Business Unit Manager for Sterile Processing.
