Dr. RICHARD MARCHAND, MD

Dr. Marchand completed his Medical Studies at the Université de Montréal in 1980.  From 1980 to 1986, he did his internship in internal medicine, medical microbiology and infectious diseases.  He obtained a Fellowship in microbiology and immunology at the Centre for Pediatric Research at Saint-Justine Hospital in Montreal.  He has been a microbiologist and immunologist at the Montreal Heart Institute.  Dr. Marchand is also a clinical assistant-professor at the microbiology and immunology department of Université de Montréal.  His services to TSO₃ include consultation on clinical microbiology, sterility control methods and composing protocols for clinical tests.  Dr. Marchand is also responsible for the testing of the 125L ozone sterilizer for prion inactivation.
