TSO3 hires new sales executive for product launch in the U.S.January 6, 2005Québec City, January 6, 2005 – TSO3 Inc. ("TSO3") has appointed Michael Ward as Sales Director – U.S. Market. He will assume strategic marketing responsibilities in business development efforts for the launch of the 125L Ozone Sterilizer in the United States. Mr. Ward has an extensive background in sales, management and sales training in the healthcare sector, as well as in other industries. He has worked for both STERIS and Johnson & Johnson Inc. (J&J), the two companies who have successfully introduced new sterilization technologies into the North-American market over the last fifteen years or so. Member of the original sales force at STERIS, his success as a sales representative led to his promotion into management there. As a Sterilization System Specialist, he was also part of the Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP) Division of J&J, which introduced the STERRAD System using hydrogen peroxide. His most recent experience was with NanoScale Materials Inc., as Vice President of Sales. Mr. Ward holds a Bachelor of Science degree from an American university. "We are delighted to add someone with Mike’s depth of experience to our management team," said Jocelyn Vezina, the Chief Executive Officer at TSO3. "Mike is well versed in supporting the introduction of new technologies into the marketplace – especially new sterilization technologies. His background working with distributors and selling capital equipment will be particularly helpful as we launch our ozone sterilizer into the U.S. market." Michael Ward will be working under the supervision of Ann Hewitt, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at TSO3. They will both be supporting the efforts of TSO3’s distributor SKYTRON, an American medical equipment distributor with a well-established network of sales representatives, service representatives and sales-support facilities servicing operating room and decontamination/sterilization departments in hospitals throughout North America. Mr. Ward will also be responsible for direct sales to industrial accounts and other non-provider organizations. "I am very pleased to be working with Mike Ward again," said Ann Hewitt. "Mike has consistently demonstrated an ability to analyze the marketplace and determine the most efficient ways to support a conceptual sale. His experience will be very helpful to us as we launch into the U.S. market." About TSO3 TSO3 Inc. is located in Québec City, Québec, Canada, and was founded in 1998. TSO3 currently has 48 employees, 17 of whom work exclusively in the Research and Development department. The Company’s mission is to develop and market innovative and comprehensive sterilization solutions. TSO3 has perfected an innovative sterilization process using ozone as the sterilizing agent. The ozone sterilization process is a safe, efficient, fast and cost-effective response to evolving sterilization needs. The 125L Ozone Sterilizer by TSO3 was cleared for commercialization by Health Canada and more recently by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). TSO3 expects the first sales in 2005.
