TSO3 Ozone Sterilization Process Officially Patented in the United States and Europe

September 25, 2006

Québec City, September 25, 2006 – TSO3 Inc. (“TSO3”) (TSX: TOS) is proud to announce that its ozone sterilization process is now patented in Europe and the United States. After several years of preparation and waiting, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the European Patent Office (EPO) have officially issued optimal protection for the intellectual property belonging to TSO3.

“This recognition allows us to protect our ozone sterilization technology for a 20-year period, in both the American and the European markets,” explained Simon Robitaille, Vice President, Operations and Director of Research.

The patent obtained by TSO3 is complementary to the licensing contract signed with the American firm Lynntech International Ltd. in 2002. The signing of this licensing contract for the exclusive use of a patent related to the ozone sterilization method gave TSO3 the exclusive use of the patent in the United States for a period of 20 years.

Today, the patent that was issued by the USPTO and the EPO covers both the ozone sterilization method and the process through which low temperature humidity is created – a process specific to TSO3 and necessary for efficacious sterilization.

TSO3 and its R & D department, which is continuously improving its technology and such products as the 125L Ozone Sterilizer, currently have other new patents pending. “This is part of our development strategy: our growth also depends on our innovations. Getting patents is, of course, a long process, but we are confident we will obtain them,” said Mr. Robitaille.

About the marketing process

With several firm sales signed since the beginning of the year, TSO3 has made developing the North Amercian market its priority, as well as the markets where the standards of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Health Canada are accepted. Both of these agencies have recognized the effectiveness of the 125L Ozone Sterilizer.
“Before we attack the European market, we have decided to focus our efforts in the short term on the development of our sales and marketing team in order to meet the expectations of the North American market,” explained Jocelyn Vézina, the Chief Executive Officer of TSO3. “Commercialization in Europe must be done step by step. First, we must meet the European standards and obtain the CE marking before undertaking any steps towards marketing the products.”

About TSO3

TSO3 Inc. is located in Québec City, Québec, Canada, and was founded in 1998. The Company’s mission is to develop and market innovative and comprehensive sterilization solutions.

TSO3 has perfected an innovative sterilization process using ozone as the sterilizing agent. The first product based on this technological platform is the 125L Ozone Sterilizer, which is intended for hospital sterilization units. The 125L – named after its 125-litre/4.3-cubic-foot capacity – was designed to sterilize heat- and moisture-sensitive surgical and diagnostic devices which are expensive and in high demand from the surgical suite. The ozone sterilization process is a safe, efficacious, fast and cost-effective response to evolving sterilization needs.

The 125L Ozone Sterilizer by TSO3 has been cleared for commercialization by Health Canada and by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). TSO3 started the sales of its sterilizer in Q4 2005.

TSO3 currently has 63 employees, 20 of whom work in the sales and marketing team.
