Learn more about the Ozone Sterilizer

Efficacious

TSO3 Inc.'s patented, dynamic sterilant delivery system creates a conditioned environment enabling a precise dosing of sterilant throughout the chamber, creating limitless sterilization capability for today's and tomorrow's simple and complex medical devices.

Compatible

The TSO3 STERIZONE® Sterilization System offers comparable compatibility to other oxidative sterilization processes to meet growing surgical demands resulting in increased instrument life and lower repair costs.

Cost-effective

The TSO3 STERIZONE® 125L Sterilizer uses readily available oxygen and water, which minimizes customers' cost of operation. Sterilant cost per cubic foot of usable space is only US 26¢ (Can 29¢), which helps customers meet their need for cost-effective sterilization. EtO processes cost a minimum of US $2.16 (Can $2.38) per cubic foot of usable space. Other oxidative sterilization processes cost a minimum of US $5.88 (Can $6.47) per cubic foot of usable space.

Environmentally Sound and Safe

The TSO3 STERIZONE® sterilization process uses only water, oxygen and electricity. By-products are water vapor and oxygen. Aeration of the load is not necessary, thus decreasing device turnaround time. There are no toxic wastes requiring special handling, storage and disposal, nor dangerous residues on the instrument packaging. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is not required.

How the TSO3 STERIZONE® 125L Sterilizer works

  • Under vacuum, water boils at room temperature to become vapour, and the vapour is admitted into the sterilizer chamber.
  • Oxygen is subjected to an electrical discharge in an enclosed space. Oxygen (O2) breaks down into monatomic oxygen (O) and then re-forms as ozone (O3).
  • Under vacuum, ozone is admitted into the sterilizer chamber.
  • Sterilization of contents occurs through oxidation.
  • Ozone and water vapour are drawn out of the sterilizer chamber into the catalytic converter.
  • Ozone then reverts to oxygen and is vented into the room along with low humidity water vapour.
